Hebrews 12:1-3

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

  3. Dear Mike and Sandra, I just want you to know that I am and have been praying faithfully for you and the girls since I heard on Monday... Thanks for the updates which help pray more specifically... So encouraging for us to know The One who formed Sandra in the 'secret place' and who knows EXACTLY what awesome plans He has for her! May you continue to find peace in His everlasting love and may He give you courage and grace to face what comes next, knowing NOTHING is a surprise to Him! Love, Corie Iles

  6. Hey Mike, sending you and Sandra tons of love from Ingleside. We heard of Sandra's accident just a couple of days ago, and we know now what it means to "pray continually". Day and night. We are so encouraged by your words, the comfort that you find in John 16:33 and of Sandra's strength and positive attitude. This is a blessing and a real testimony of your strong roots in Him. Your words are an inspiration. We continue to keep Sandra, you and the girls as well as your extended family in our prayers. May God continue to bless you with peace, strength and support. Praying that you continue to feel God's presence, love and strength. Gerry and Marsha and family
