Hebrews 12:1-3
Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Transfers going well
Sandra did 4 transfers this morning from the bed to her chair. This is a big deal and the therapists are very impressed. It is difficult to watch her struggle but also exciting to see progress. Sandra still works daily on her trunk (core) strength as we realize that this is a critical strength she will need.
The goals are still to get to rehab ASAP and to have her neck brace off for Julia's grade 8 graduation. I was going to put going to grad as a goal but she informed me that I didn't have to because it was happening no matter what.

Yeah! Praising God with you for the "little" bits of progress. Thank you for sharing even the small bits -- they show that God is at work, and we can celebrate with you too,

Hey there Sandra,
ReplyDeleteWe miss you guys in the cafe. We'll save some seats for you! I was very encouraged reading your blog. Psalm 91:1 is one of my favourites to share with you...Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I need that kind of assurance!
