Hebrews 12:1-3

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Great graduation and party

We had a great time at Julia's grad, plus had her class come up to the cottage after. Thanks to my mom and dad, and others for making this happen. I think her class had a great time, the weather was perfect. Sandra was able to attend both for which we are thankful. It has been difficult for her to have things done for her as this is not her nature, she is typically the doer. The simple things we do everyday are proofing to be difficult and very time consuming, however we are both learning new "systems" to make life easier. Tomorrow Sandra has an x-ray scheduled for her neck to see how it is healing. She has been wearing the neck brace 24/7 since the accident and has just about had enough of it. Once the neck brace comes off her shoulder can properly be evaluated. Please pray for the doctors wisdom and that Sandra can get the neck brace off. Mike

  1. Julia looked beautiful! Where have the years gone? The simple things have now become the time and energy stealers. One moment at a time. You will figure it out as you go. Prayers are continuous.....we love you all!

  2. Hi you 4

Haven't submitted a comment before, but have been following your blog all along. I so appreciate your honesty and openness about the difficulties you deal with, but even more so your God-given energy, positiveness and desire to work hard. May God continue to keep you from discouragement. I can just begin to understand the obstacles you face because of my long ago nursing experiences working in neurosurgery and rehab. Keep up the good work.

  3. Sandra,
Sening you positive energy, virtual hugs and uplifting you in prayer. Praying that the Doctors had the wisdom to take off your neck brace today (er.... I mean... praying that the Doctors had the God-given wisdom to make the right decision about your neck brace today :) )...
So glad you got to the cottage - nothing like the lake to renew your soul.
How did the loaner wheel chair work out?
PS - I left my yahoo email address on your fridge last week - did you get it?
    Lots of love
    Keri
