Hebrews 12:1-3

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

A Day of Excitement!

WOW .... What a day! My morning routine takes some time for me now but I've been getting faster and faster with each day. As most of you jump out of bed in the morning (that is if you're a morning person) I take about 5 minutes to get my self to a sitting positions, edge my way to the side of the bed and than using a slider board, slide myself from the bed to the wheel chair. So you can just imagine the effort it takes to actually get myself cleaned up and dressed for the day. All in all it takes me about 2 hours, my goal is to get that down to an hour. So by 10am I was off to my first appointment of the day. Occupational therapy! They work you hard but I was diffiantly up for the challenge. Than lunch, with a little visit from a friend. Which was the encouragement I needed to head off to physiotherapy. Now that was a little harder but they all seem to be happy with what I can accomplish. I'm encouraged with what I'm able to do. I am setting little goal for myself each week. By the end of the week I would love to be able to transfer by myself from anything to anything including a car. Mike is bring a car over on Thursday for me to practice with my physiotherapist. I'm very excited. This means more trips home. All in all it was a full day and as I'm able to do more they are just going to get fuller. So I look forward to that. We are praying for complete healing and I know God is able. I'm doing my part so He can do His. Please continue to pray for complete healing, strenghth, my overall health and stamina. Also be in pray for Mike, Julia and Emily that God would pour out his love and make His presence known to them every moment of the day. I love you all and I thank you for your continued love, support and most of all prayers. HUGS Sandra

  1. Very glad to hear about your good day. What are visiting hours like at the Rehab center? When is a good time to visit between therapy? We continue to hold you in our prayers as you and your family face each day's challenges. Hugs from the Stassen family.

  2. Hi Sandra.

You are such an inspiration! I check the blog everyday ; sometimes twice to see if there is a new post!

I'll always remember the last time I saw you before the accident. It was the evening of May 6 in the Fellowship Hall for a special time of prayer for Deeper & Wider...You were absolutely glowing as usual, I caught your eye & you flashed me your beautiful signature smile.

Deeper & wider -that's what it's all about...that we may reach more people for our Saviour.

I love what Ps. 138 says: " The LORD will work out His plans for my life-for your faithful love, o LORD endures forever.

You & Mike & Julia & Emily are in my prayers everyday. xo
