Hebrews 12:1-3

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Showing my age

Time for a short "mike post" to the point! We had a good couple days. Sandra was feeling strong and completed her workouts (crawling and core) well. She continues to have changes in sensations but no confirmation if the changes are good or bad so we will take any change as good.
I have prayed since the beginning that we will see continued progress and we are, just not as quickly as our impatient selves want. Now to the title of the blog, we are getting ready to watch an 80's tribute band in the casino. P.S if they play Wham or Culture club I'm leaving.

  1. Hi Mike and Sandra,
I have actually been reading your blog since the very beginning and have no idea why I have chosen today to post something to you. I am inspired by your story and saddened. I can't imagine the difficulties you are going through, but take your strong faith to strengthen mine. Thank you for sharing your story quite openly. I'm trying to find words of encouragement and all I can come up with is that in those dark moments, know God is there.
Again, thank you- I continue to pray for ALL of you. from a high school friend...

  2. Your just too funny - I could just see you as a Boy George look alike. The make up and clothes could be a bit much , but he turns out a good song.
Seriously, praise God for continued progress for Sandra and a round of applause for her determination in completing her workouts again.
When you feel a bit impatient, just a word of encouragement: "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day". We all want things in our time, but he has it all in the palm of his hand and it's all in his timing.....so keep strong you lovely people, he's in control.
    Forever in my prayers.....Val.

  3. Lord I pray that you continue to strengthen this family. Release you supernatural peace and the gift of joy no matter the circumstances. Gives them also faith to believe in what they don't see yet, that you are willing to touch Sandra with your healing hands. Praying for voluntary muscle movement and the beginning of her complete recovery. In Jesus name. cbonhomme
