Hebrews 12:1-3

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Magnificent mile

Well we are here in downtown Chicago, drove by Soldiers field, and a few other sights. We fought traffic even on a Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow we don't have any appointments so we will do some sightseeing. It is interesting how broad the term "accessible " is with these hotels. It hasn't been a problem for the two of us and we are learning what questions to ask when booking a hotel. Mike

  3. Continuing prayers are with you both as you journey on.
A few words of encouragement that Jesus spoke in this paraphrase of the story of the good shepherd:
"I am the gate for my sheep, and as I open the gate, my sheep will listen to my voice. I will call them by name, and they will follow me, because they know my voice. I have gone on ahead of them - I have laid down my life for them".
Keep listening and keep following - he is ever with you.
    Prayers and love.....Val.

  4. You guys are an inspiration and please know that we're keeping you in prayer. Love that you're proactive in the recovery process and I'm praying that God would continue to open the doors that he would want you to walk through. Praying for new strength for each and every day. With love to you both, Dianne Van der Putten and the staff at Family Radio.
