We are having a great time relaxing at the cottage, great weather, spending time with family.
We actually got Sandra swimming with a little effort and ingenuity this afternoon. She really enjoyed it was able to get around, wash her hair andjust feel the freedom of the water. For those who were wondering she was wearing a life jacket. Mike
Hebrews 12:1-3
Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

ReplyDeleteLove,
The Dykstra's
Sandra, You continue to amaze me!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine your big smile as you ejoyed the freshness & free feeling of the water.
God has much to say about water in His Word...hundreds of references throughout.
It's my prayer that we will all continually be refreshed by the Living Water He so graciously gives to all who come.
Jesus said, " Those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh , bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life." - Gospel of John , the 4th chapter.
Continued prayer for more blessings on your journey,
love, Dixie
Wow that is awesome! That must have felt amazing. Praying for you all - and so glad you are enjoying sun and fun at the cottage.
ReplyDeleteLots of love - Keri, Jordan and Cameron
So glad you enjoyed some days at the cottage. We were with you in thought and prayer as we know those beautiful surroundings from last summer when we were with you all....How daring and exciting to try swimming - I love your enterprising spirit, encouraged no doubt by your daring husband! Lots of love, Irene
ReplyDeletePraying for patience during this time of waiting for more positive results but knowing that the question in our hearts is not "how long do we have to wait" rather our question should be "what is it in me the Lord is looking to develop in this season and how can I posture myself accordingly?" The sooner we see this, the sooner the work within us is more fully engaged. Keep the faith that the lord heals and that He is willing.
ReplyDeleteTherefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. James 5:7-8
